12 Days of...

Well the Winter holidays are coming up and with that comes dormant trees and lots of time indoors. We have gotten a chance to play around outside, but for the next 3-4 months our activities will probably be indoors. Today Mateo got to take a picture with Santa Claus. At first he was a little freaked out. I mean it does go against all warnings to stay away from strangers offering candy, but he warmed up after a while and with me by his side he managed to sit still for a minute. I will try and check in again in a weeek or so...

Change of Season

Well, it is getting colder and Mateo is changing more rapidly than the weather. He is loving his classes and has done quite a number of "big boy" things. He is now facing front in the car so he can see what we see. I have also finally moved to the front seat. He is also growing in his back teeth so he can chomp down on grown up food (although he still prefers mush - except for raisins). We all know he loves to dance and he continues to add new moves to his dance repertoire. He also went to a salon to finally get that wild mane tamed. I am really bad at keeping this blog up to date, but I will try to be a little better in the future...

Life After 1

After Mateo's birthday, things did not slow down for us. The rest of the summer was filled with a baseball game, a luau, birthdays, a wedding, a housewarming and lots and lots of laundry

Over the hump

Mateo turned 1 on July 21st. It has been a magical year filled with, chaos, uncertainty, tears and most of all laughter. Now that he is a "big boy" we would like to take sharing our family experiences to a more organic level.
