M&L Slide at the Hoboken Arts Festivals

So summer is winding down and with that the last of the summer festivals. Today we met up with Alma and Lucas and the kids enjoyed many variations of bouncy houses and then pigged out on hot dogs.

M&L In Frost Valley - Day 2 '12

So today we woke up, rather late I might say after last night's raucous time, and we decided to go exploring the Frost Valley grounds.

Lucia and Oona  enjoyed finding sticks and tossing them into a stream

Shay and Mateo waited patiently and practiced their form before their turns at the bow and arrow

The practice must have worked because Mateo managed to get a couple on the target. Of course being a perfectionist, he was disappointed that he didn't get a bullseye

Later a bunch of the OXO kids hung out by the stream and threw rocks

Benat was very well prepared and brought these dress up doll pages for all of the girls to play with during downtime

The boys ran around in this field during their downtime

After a full day of play we had a group dinner...

...and a celebrated Shay's birthday (complete with Pinata). On your mark, get set

M&L Go to Frost Valley

September has been flying by and today kicked off another very busy weekend. The family headed out to Frost Valley to attend OXO's annual Employee Fall outing. The kids were so excited to get to see their OXO friends. And the adults were excited to hang out.

Once everyone arrived, we all headed over to the castle where the kids hung out 

And so did the "adults"

Lucia really warmed up to Jess (must be the name;)

And Mateo had fun launching water balloons with Chuck

Looks like the kids aren't the only ones who like to play dress up..."giddy-up cowboy"

The night wound down with a singing and guitar playing by Chuck and Chad. I asked for "More than Words" several times, but they didn't know it. Can you believe that?

M&L Celebrate Aba's Birthday

Well today the kids got to do one of their favorite things - celebrate a birthday. And who better to celebrate with, but one of their favorite people - Aba.

M&L Go To Auntie Audris's Wedding

After a late night session of bridesmaid duties (i.e. hanging out with the bride putting together last minute decorations), the day had finally arrived. We had been preparing for this for weeks. Lucia had dress fittings and practice walks, I had dress fittings and bachelorette celebrations and Mateo had been practicing his reading "Personal Penguin". This was a big day for Audris and the Vielot-Gonzalez clan.

To start the day right, we had a big breakfast with Auntie Audris

Then hair and makeup came to prep us all....Before

The wedding was beautiful, but rather chilly since we were on top of a mountain

After the wedding we made our way down the mountain in a chair lift. The kids thought it was super cool

Even Mommy got some time with the busy bride

Lucia remained knocked out for the remainder of the reception

Special note: Audris forgot her veil at the condo so it never made it to the wedding. In order to celebrate the memory of her in the veil, we had her do a little vogue so we could capture the moment.

What a trooper. He made it through the whole reception and thought he could hang for the after party, but quickly knocked out as soon as we put him on the couch. 

M&L Rehearse with Auntie Audris

Woohoo...todya is a very exciting day! It is the kick-off of Audris's wedding weekend. I took the day off, we picked the kids up from school early and headed up to Hunter Mountain for the dress rehearsal.

The kids were just as excited as I was about the big day to come

M&L Very Busy Day

Today the Vielot-Gonzalez family had a lot on the docket, most of which involved sunglasses and swimming. Nothing like a warm, late summer weekend....ahhh...

Lucia got to attend her very 1st friend-from-school birthday party. As you can see it was Luau themed and Lucia is "chileando"

She easily got into the groove of things when she spotted this toy

And was in hot-air heaven when the balloons came out

Shortly after they got to flex their musical skills by beating on some bongos and then...

...finally birthday girl, Juliette....

...got to enjoy her  4th birthday cupcake tower with her friends

And from there we had to rush to Lucia's swimming lesson....

....which was then followed by a pool party at Aba's house (complete with siblings and cousins)

And the girls had some real messy fun with mud

We finished out the day with a Farewell cake for Yasnier and Roxanna who were planning to move to Florida (please note this move was postponed, but it was a great party nonetheless)
