Lucia Sippin' Pretty

Lucia drinks water and sometimes a tiny amount of watered down orange juice after her meals. She prefers to sip from her big bro's straw cup, so we have had to get her her own water bottle to drink out of. Sometimes she drinks and sometimes she just chews.

Now that Mateo goes to camp for a good part of the day, Miss Lucia now has the opportunity to enjoy classes of her own. Today she tried out Puppetonia, a puppet show that takes place in the local bookstore. The little ones seem to love it and Lucia was no different.

Who needs friends when you are this zen. Lucia appears to keep calm in the midst of all of this chaos.

Later that day - Mateo, feeling a lot less zen, settled in for a movie with popcorns with good pals Cambell and Finn

M&L Make the Rounds

Today was another busy day. First there was some park time, then some time in the water, then they had people over, then a trip to visit another friend's house. It is hard being part of the baby/toddler crowd.

Cambell, Mateo, Finn and Charlie (looking like a mean kid from a teeny bopper movie) enjoyed a little time at the park sprinklers.

Later, Luca joined in the fun and met up with them at Finn and Cambell's house

Lucia loves playing with other people's toys. Especially ones that are bigger than her.

M&L Go to John's 4th Birthday Party

We are kicking off birthday season once again. Today started out with a little soccer game with friends and ended with a Toy Story themed birthday party for John. There were lots of treats and lots of running around which led to lots of bedtime sleep...whew.

Now Luca and Mateo have more in common than soccer and Italian names. They both have little sisters. Luca's sister Sofia got to know Lucia as they watched their big brothers play.

Now onto John's party at The Little Gym. Lucia limbered up and took a walk with the bars.

Next up the air bounce mat. This is definitely the most fun.

The kids worked up an appetite and ended the party with pizza, cake and juice boxes.

Lucia loves playing hide-n-seek although I don't think she is very good because she always picks the same spot. I guess as a small 10 month old she does have a size advantage so it only makes sense that she would pick the most compact spot in the living room.

When there is not enough time or energy to head down to the real Hoboken Water Park, there is always the poor man's version located right beside our apartment building. There is an outdoor shower located next to the tennis courts. Every summer the city puts it on so the kids can splash around and cool off, it's not fancy, but it will do.

But before the evening concert, the kiddies had a take 2 at the water park. Once again Mateo had a great time, but this time I think Miss Lucia also enjoyed herself. Later Mateo and Lucia joined Mommy, Papi and some friends for a summer concert.

Later (and this has become very common with her), Mateo had a snack and Lucia attempted to steal the snack for herself

M&L Go to a Hoboken Water Park

Along with the "beach", park, soccer and swimming, Mateo has recently discovered another great summer activity in Hoboken - playing in the water park. Today Mateo, Lucia and friends headed there and had lots of splashy fun. Well at least one of them had a good time.

Lucia has also taken to using Mateo's chair as a walker. She pushes it up and down the apartment when she feels like walking instead of crawling.

M&L Celebrate Father's Day 2010

Today Papi got to celebrate his first Father's Day as a father of two. We started the day with a little soccer in the morning and finished off with a great BBQ at Aba and Abu's house. It was hot, but there was a cool kiddie pool and some delicious food from the grill. The perfect summer Sunday.

Prima Mima thinks this is a good idea, but only manages to cool off her feet.

Oh no the boys are back! Oh well Lucia doesn't seem to mind.

As mentioned before, Lucia can get around on the Diego car by herself, but that doesn't stop her big brother from wanting to help her scoot around and visa-versa.
