OXO Ski Trip 2015 - Day 3 (Last Day)

Today was our very last full day at Okemo. The kids were supposed to ski, but it was so cold outside that they decided not to...which was a bit of a waste of money, but understandable. Some of the lifts were closed due to how extremely cold it was. Although they did not ski, it didn't stop them from having a good time.

No ski trip is complete without a hot chocolate party hosted by the Oona/Amelia and now Lucia crew. The girls got busy making signs.

OXO Ski Trip 2015 - Day 2

After getting a so-so amount of sleep last night, we got the kids up early to go to their first day of ski school

Meanwhile, back at the cabin, Valentina hung out. Is it me or doesn't she look like a Gerber baby?

After a full day of skiing, the kids were ready for a surprise. Who wants whipped cream?

That night the girls had a slumber party in the closet. You can't tell because of lack of flash, but all three are watching a show on the ipad.

OXO Ski Trip 2015

For the past 4 years we have been going to Okemo, VT with mommy's work. The kids look forward to it and I like the idea of them getting exposure to winter sports. This year we (my work friends and I) decided to go up a day early in order to give the kids more exposure and to make the 5 hour drive worth it.

Shay and Mateo were so psyched to see each other that they picked up their video game equipment and played next to each other..woohoo

The girls - Oona, Amelia and Lucia were actually more engaged with one another and picked up where they left off last year.

They got busy making paper dolls and then ended the night with a play for us. It was very cute.

Snowy Day Fun

I would love to say that I get really excited about the prospect of a snowy day and going outside and tossing snow, but if I said that I would be lying. I can say that I enjoy seeing the family get excited and so we headed out.

Valentina's Swim Lessons & Mutz

Well it's time! What time? Time for V to start swimming lessons. The other two also started around this time. It was also V's first time celebrating Mutz. All good things!

V seemed much happier about her lessons than the other 2 at this age.

All that swimming is also tiring, so poor V didn't actually get to enjoy any Mutz

Valentina has been very active lately. She used to hate tummy time, but now she has mastered it to get to where she wants.

Valentina Gets Earrings

Well today was a complete mixed bag. We had our highs and lows and ended the day accessorized with some new bling.

Both Lucia and Valentina were getting checked up...

Lucia for an ear infection and Valentina was getting her flu shot and earrings

The girls had a great time at the doctor's office and Valentina didn't even flinch when she got the flu shot...

...I can't say the same for the earrings. When they did the first ear she wailed so loud I almost didn't let them do the second one, but thought that would make the first one a waste. I think I cried a little seeing that miserable face...I felt so bad. Beauty shouldn't have to hurt...sorry cupcake :(

Papi Under Attack

So today Papi realized that it is a real challenge to try and carry all 3 kids at once, but...

...it is also a challenge to try and capture the carry of all 3 on film. At this angle I could only get Lucia and Valentina.

...It's pretty impossible. I give up!

Mateo Starts Basketball

So Mateo had been waiting for this moment since last year. You may wonder what moment I am talking about...well he has been waiting to be able to play on his school's basketball team. Last year we didn't let him play because we felt he had too much going on. This year he has even more going on, but he is managing pretty well, so we let him give it a shot.

He couldn't be happier!

Today was their team's first game...here they are during warm ups

Practicing shooting is obviously very important for the game

They fought hard, but unfortunately this game ended in a loss. Better luck next time guys!
