Lucia Does Booster Seat Testing

Now that OXO has entered into the baby/toddler market, I am fortunate to be able to bring in my kids every once in a while to do product testing. Today Miss Lucia was the lucky tester, so while Mateo went to school, Lucia and I headed into work via ferry.

We love the weekends because we get to have breakfast, lunch and dinner as a family. Papi cooks, Mommy cleans, Mateo talks and stalls and eats and Lucia tries to feed herself and proceeds to also feed her high chair and the floor. It's chaos, but I treasure it.

Board games have become more popular in the Vielot Gonzalez household. Mateo likes to point out that FIVE games. One of his latest acquisitions? Make n Break found by Papi at FAO and adored by all. It involves a picture of a structure made with rectangular blocks of varying colors. The kids have to build the structure to exactly match the structure (spacing and color) within a certain amount of time. We eliminated the time restriction so he could focus on getting the structure accurate. There are varying levels of difficulties 1-3 (3 being the most difficult). Mateo has mastered 1s and 2sand most of 3s. He is addicted and so are his friends.

M&L Drive-thru Grocery

Not only are Sundays swimming days and soccer days they are also grocery shopping days. Today the family headed out to our local Shoprite where, for the first time, Lucia got to ride shotgun in the car-cart with Mateo.

M&L - Just Strollin'

So for her birthday, Lucia go a little stroller. Unfortunately, with the rough housing that it went through with Mateo and Lucia it came to a quick demise. No worries - Aba to the rescue! She bought Lucia a brand new name brand name stroller which will hopefully have more longevity.

Lucia's Play Group Dance Party

Today was a play group day at our house so Ariel and Alma came over to have some fun. Normally there is open play, a little reading and a snack, but there was a special addition to the program today. The kids had happy feet so they just needed to dance.

Mateo & Lucas

Today Mateo headed over to Lucas' house to play. When I saw the picture below I thought that they looked so much alike at some angles it was a little weird. It reminds me of when his teacher's came to our house last summer as a welcome meeting and one whispered to the other "He look like the other little boy we just visited." Well I have no doubt in my mind who that "other little boy" was and who knew they would become such good friends. He does have a special fondness to kids with that name... It is also very close to his sister's name so maybe we also have an affinity for it.
