Lucia Goes to Keira's Birthday Party

Today Lucia went to a very interesting and convenient birthday party. Why was it so interesting and convenient? Because it was held in the bakery department of our local grocery store. That meant, I could drop Lucia off at the birthday party, do our grocery shopping for the week and then pick Lucia up at the end and have a helper to carry stuff home. Brilliant idea!

Lucia and the rest of the chef's set up at the party and made meals

Keira and her mom - located conveniently in front of the ice cream cake aisle. If you think about it, you could totally shop for the party as well.

Brilliant idea!

Last Day of Rec Soccer - 2015

Today was the last day of soccer (Rec Soccer) for both of the kids. Since their games were at about the same time, I went to see Lucia while Eddie went with Mateo.

Lucia played goalie although at this age there really are no goalies.

In the end, they all got participation medals which I was fine with in this circumstance because there are no playoffs and therefore no real champions.

She was very happy and proud to have participated.

Papi's 40th Birthday!

Well while I got to take a world tour to celebrate my birthday, Eddie is a lot more low key and just wanted to be able to celebrate his big 4-0 with his favorite food.

So that is exactly what I did. 3.5lb lobster - check
Bread Pudding - check
And "That's All Folks!"
We love you so much thanks for being such a wonderful father and husband.

"Happy Birthday!"

Mommy - Day 3

Today was our last day in Austin. The time seemed to go by so fast. I guess time really does fly when you are having fun.

But before we go, time for some friend shots

Me and Jess

Before we went our separate ways, we went to a fabulous brunch at this traditional Mexican restaurant. It was delicious and we were actually filmed as part of a Food Network show. They needed averaged aged, attractive females in the background. They also needed some diversity, so of course they hit the jackpot when they found us!

Mommy - Austin Day 2

Day 2 in Austin was much better than Day 1 because we were actually where we needed to be. We did a lot of walking and talking and hanging out and it was wonderful.

My dear BFF got us a an Air BNB in the Swedish section of Austin. It was a nice cozy place with a rather odd young man who lives in the back and scared the crap out of us the night before when he came up on the doorstep the night before super drunk and wanting to introduce himself to us.

First on our list of things to do? A walking tour of downtown Austin where we learned a lot about history and architecture.

Later, a farm to table type of place with good wine, food and company.
Cheers!

Mommy Celebrates 40 with no MLV

So today , Mommy (aka Me or Francoise) took a surprise trip to Austin to celebrate my 40th birthday with two of my closest friends. It was a harrowing affair filled with cancelled flights, re-routes and delays, but eventually we made it...

...to San Antonio where Audris and I grabbed dinner at a yummy BBQ place while waiting for Jess to fly in and then the 3 of us Ubered to Austin...whew! So nice to see them, but hopefully tomorrow will be a less stressful day.

MLV Get a Visit from Auntie Audris

Yah for Mommy and the kids because Auntie Audris came in for a visit. She and Uncle Dennis were in town and we were lucky to have them join us in our regular Sunday routine. We first went off to swimming and then after swimming went to the park. Very chill day.

Madrina Audris got in some quality time with her goddaughter

Ok so she was kind of stocking her, but it's allowed

Some more slide time...

...and then time to go.

Thanks for visiting
