Discovery of Another Water Source

So this weekend we went to the Puerto Rican Festival down by the pier and Mateo spotted this fountain and of course had to partake. Summer has officially started and I think (much like his mother) this may be Mateo's favorite season.

Happy Father's Day

For Father's Day we went to the park and then to a BBQ at Eddie's cousin's house. It was pretty laid back, but the day was beautiful and Eddie and Mateo (who looks like a mini-Eddie in some photos) just hung out enjoying one another.

Hot Fun in the Summer Time

So we had record highs this past week in the NorthEast and instead of being proper parents and dressing Mateo in his best swimming gear we let him loose in the park shower and also in his Uncle's sprinkler system in just his diapers. There is, after all, a little ghetto in all of us...

A Wild Ride

So this weekend we went to a birthday party for my coworkers' 4 year old son Liam. The party was held at Victorian Gardens in Central park and it was a great time. It took a little time for Mateo to warm up to the crowds and chaos, but when finally did he didn't want to leave. Each time the ride came to an end he would cry and squirm and try to stay on until he was pried off and then taken on another ride where the whole thing would start again. He was completely filthy and tired by the time  we got home, but fun was had by all.

Meet the Couch Potatoes

Well, not much to say here. Mateo was in a total Diego trance and I was watching the "Diego Saves the Baby Dolphin" episode for what seemed like the 60th time.

Bath Time Fun

This is just a regular evening at the Vielot-Gonzalez household. Bath time is lots of fun and he is super cute with his new frog towel.

Mother's Day

Well I felt like Mother's Day was nice, but uneventful. Nothing too special and then I was sitting in front of the computer with Mateo on my lap and thought to myself that I couldn't think of anything more special than to have him there on my lap peaceful and content.
