First Big Snowstorm for M&L

Last night the Northeast got hit with at least a foot of snow. When we woke up this morning we looked through the window and saw a wintery wonderland. Mateo spotted other neighborhood kids digging through the snow with shovels an wanted to join in the fun. In the beginning things were good, but once the snow seeped into his socks and sweatpants things turned bad...I think it's time someone got snow pants and boots.

Lucia and I stayed in - she chilled in her swing (look at the snow on the balcony in the background) and I drank tea.

Although Lucia is not too big she carries her weight in a very chunky way - big cheeks, big belly and big thighs. Now that it is winter her extra layers make her look extra chunky and puffy and of course cute.

M&L Have a Holiday Party w/ Friends

Today Mateo and the "Afternoon Gang" had a holiday party at Panera's. The nannies got together with the kiddies and there was pizza, an exchange of gifts and lots of fun. I think everyone had a really good time.

M&L - Santa & Swimming

Today turned out to be another busy Sunday for M&L. Mateo kicked off the morning with soccer practice, then they headed to meet up with Santa and friends and we ended the afternoon with swimming classes.

M&L - A Mixed Bag

Today Navita had some personal things to take care of, so Aba and Abu watched Mateo and Lucia. Judging by the photos they all had a great time hanging out with one another.

I love when I see surprise pix of the kids on the camera because it lets me take a peek at what they are doing when we are not home. I love this series of Lucia who is clearly aware of the camera and is trying to interact with it.

The Vielot Gonzalez Family's 1st Real Christmas Tree

Happy, happy, joy, joy! Today we went out to get a real Christmas tree. We had been considering for a little while and on our way home we saw a church selling them outside, so we decided to just do it. I didn't want Mateo to miss out, so we went home to get him so he could help pick it out. Not only was it his 1st tree, but it was also my first real tree.

We used the bottom of the stroller to push Mateo there and to carry the tree back home

Mateo scored a couple of candy canes during our excursion, but he doesn't like mint flavor, so we used them as tree ornaments
