M&L Helps V Celebrate Her First Halloween & Exersauces

Ok, today is the real deal! Halloween Day! The kids and I were prepared for a fun day of costumes and trick or treating. But first...

...look who got an Exersaucer. This one looks a lot like Lucia's

I think she is mesmerized by the globe

Sweet Pea is ready to go...

...And so is Olive Oyl...

...Slenderman and Elsa.

Ready to take the streets of Hoboken

During the parade the kids ran into a bunch of friends. Here are Amelia (as a doctor), Vivy as Anna and Alma as Monster High girl with Lucia

Lucas (as a creeper or some Minecraft thing that required a mask which he is not wearing), Mila as Elmo and Mateo (unmasked as well)

After the parade Mateo, Lucas, Alma, Lucia, Milla, and Valentina all went for Pizza

Cheeeeeeeze!!

Cheese is right

Sweet Pea and Abu share a moment

The fierce-some five pose for a final Halloween shot

Job well done
Well done indeed

MLV 2nd Round of Halloween Parties

Today was our second round of Halloween parties. Lucia continued to be Elsa, but Valentina made a change...or shall i say I made it for her. I always dreamed of having the family dress as characters from Popeye and today my wish came true partially.

My little Sweet Pea

Elsa and Slenderman strike a pose

She didn't even make it to the elevator

Just chilling in the elevator

This picture highlights why some people on the street were freaked out by Mateo's costume...its a bit creepy

When we arrived at the Elysian Halloween party, half of the girl population was dressed as Elsa

Lucia's K-teacher Josie with her mini-me daughter dressed as Dorothy

Lucia enjoyed some of her favorite activities, face painting...

...And eating from the doughnut tree

MmmmMmmm Good

Near the end the children had a showing of their costumes along with a costume contest...there goes my little creeper

MLV First Round of Halloween Parties

As soon as late October rolls around, so do the Halloween parties. Today was the first of several. Mateo had soccer practice, but the girls got dressed up in their costumes and went to the music school's party.

Valentina's costume was too warm to wear during the day, so she had this cute orange and black Halloween outfit to  take her through the date. Lucia wasn't allowed to dress at school, but when she came home she raced to put on her Elsa costume and wig.

Soccer-Mateo, Halloween V and Elsa-like Lucia

It's time to go, so we put V in her 2nd costume...cute pink monster

V Hangs with Papi

Today it was Eddie's turn to take V out with him on an errand, but he wanted it to be hands-free...

...so he took the new version of a Baby Bjorn like carrier

Baby V is happy and ready to go

Lucia Loses Teeth

Lucia never fails to surprise me. Sometimes she is very similar to her bro and other times she couldn't be more different. I remember when he lost his first teeth they were loose for quite some time. Over time they loosened up even more and then one day the first one came out and then a few days later another and then he had a big gappy toothless grin forever.  Well Miss Lucia never even mentioned her teeth were loose, but today I come home and she reports that she lost not one but two teeth. Not only that but her two adult teeth were coming in right behind them, so she didn't really have a gap.

My big little girl. She was happy to get $20 from the tooth fairy as well. That's a good reason to smile.

Valentina Goes to Book Club

Today I ventured out on a psuedo-girls night out. I need it after the past month. It has been a while since my book club has actually met, so it was nice to see the ladies.

Valentina hangs with Aunt Joyce and Kelly

And we took a look at what she would look like with dreadlocks...not bad
