Today, Lucia's class held an exhibit of all the things they had been learning about on their marine biology field trip. Each child picked a topic of interest and created a representation (e.g. experiment, book, painting, sculpture, etc.) to aid in their presentation.
Lucia chose brackish water which, I have to admit, I wasn't really familiar with until she described and then I had a vague memory of what it was. For those of you who are also clueless, brackish water is a mixture of sea water (salt water) and fresh water. She created a painting where one side represented fresh water, one side represented salt water and in the middle was the brackish water.
Very impressive!
